Join the quality sober living houses that are demonstrating that the majority of San Diego County houses are healthy, safe, well managed and ethical. The San Diego Coalition is accepting membership applications from quality sober houses willing to be recognized.
The more San Diego Coalition member sober living houses, the better we can control our future. Both the State and County are still planning to regulate unlicensed residential facilities. Government regulation complications can be avoided if houses join together as a trade association.
County and State Alcohol and Drug Authorities are recognizing that Sober Living Houses and other recovery support resources are needed and essential recovery resources.

Coalition Member Homes enjoy the positive reputation as a quality housing provider. Once your Certificate is issued, your home will be listed as a quality house on the 800 hotline and Website referral service. The Sober Living Network is a non-profit organization, thus eligible to receive and distribute donate goods. Sober Living houses do not involve services that meet the State Department Alcohol and Drug Program (ADP) alcohol & drug facility licensing requirements. The quality of member homes is assured through regular inspections and member homes sign an oath to act ethically to each other and respect their residents.

- A copy of your Sober Living Network Training Certificate.
- A signed copy of the Code of Ethics.
- The endorsement page of your or your landlord’s liability insurance coverage ($500,000 minimum).
- A copy of brochure (information sheet), resident agreement, rules and policies for review.

- Submit membership dues, inspection fees, and required documents for membership.
- The Field Office manager will contact you to arrange inspection appointment and visit your home.
- Results of inspection are sent to Field Office and finalized. Membership Certificates are issued.
